The transition from a material reality into an spiritual one

   A reinterpretation of the historical events & the current affairs

All present-day thinking is directed essentially to the dead world. In our time there is simply no understanding of the nature of the living thinking which once existed.

The intellectualistic thinking current since the middle of the fifteenth century of our era is, in very truth, a corpse and that is why it is applied only to what is dead in nature, to the mineral kingdom. People prefer to study plants, animals and even the human being, merely from the aspect of mineral, physical, chemical forces, because they only want to use this dead thinking, this corpse of thoughts indwelling the purely intellectualistic man.

We have to recognize and understand how the spiritual world, in which we are between death and a new birth, and the physical world interpenetrate. Not only so; the spiritual world and the physical interpenetrate even in our so-called physical life between birth and death. We ourselves give the directions, as it were, for the way we are born with such and such characteristics. For we are connected between death and a new birth with what is taking place here in the physical world, and, among other things, with the stream of inheritance which eventually leads to our own birth.

We must not fall into the error of thinking that it will ever be possible to understand either the human beings or the events of the present age so long as we have eyes only for a fragment of the reality. We must say to ourselves that in the men of the present age souls are incarnated who in earlier incarnations lived in quite different regions of the earth. And when we try to follow up the destiny of these souls, we are not necessarily led back through the generations at all. In other words, we cannot understand what is happening on the earth if we do not apply in an absolutely concrete way the truth of repeated earthly lives.

We are now approaching the time when people are to become conscious of the(se) guiding powers who lead mankind as a whole, man as a single person or different kinds of unions, who influence his thoughts, feelings and desires (if he is not attentive of it or educated enough to recognize them!), who influence him in all his ways and actions, who work in nature around him and in the different kingdoms of the earth … in other words: in all of creation.

The spiritual influences which lead humanity need not work in such a way that man is always conscious of them. It is a mysterious way in which the guiding spiritual forces of humanity perform their work … and which (modern) people claim as accident, by chance or a conspiracy of human beings; because it is the only way they are able to explain them!

The consciousness necessary for the present time, which must be an intensified consciousness, ought to give us a feeling of our high duty and great responsibility in reference to the recognition of the spiritual world.

This is the task of Initiatic Science.

And the serious question each man at the present time has to ask himself and to answer honestly: Do I want to have real Self-Knowledge?
